Ford Ranger work ute with partial wrap and fully branded canopy, wrapped by Vinyl Wrapz Perth

For tradies, contractors & service crews

Ute Branding Perth

Your ute is on the road every day anyway - branding turns those kilometres into work. Canopy wraps, tray signage and partial wraps, designed and installed in Osborne Park.

  • Design, print & install under one roof
  • 10+ vehicles through the bay weekly
  • Spec kept on file for your next ute

The zones

Anatomy of a branded ute.

A ute isn't one ad - it's four panels doing four different jobs. Hover the numbers (or read below) to see how a working ute gets read.

Branded Ford Ranger annotated by branding zone - canopy, doors, lower panels and bonnet
  1. 1

    The canopy - your billboard

Flat, high and seen over the top of traffic. Headline brand, trade and phone number live here - it's the panel that works hardest in a car park or on site.

  2. 2

    Cab doors - the handshake

Logo and name at eye height for whoever pulls up beside you. Clean placement around handles and body lines is what separates a wrap shop from a sticker shop.

  3. 3

    Lower panels - the mover

Angled accent graphics carry your colours down the body so the whole ute reads as one design, not decals floating on white paint.

  4. 4

    Bonnet - the site badge

Seen front-on in mirrors, driveways and site queues. A disciplined logo here buys recall without cluttering the panel.

Part of the vehicle branding family - running more than a few utes? See fleet branding. Got a van too? Van signage works the same way.

Coverage levels

Signwriting, partial or full wrap - what does your ute actually need?

Most utes don't need the most expensive option. They need the right zones covered, in the right order - here's how we spec it.

Decals & signwriting

Hours, not days

Logo, trade and contact details cut or printed and placed on doors, canopy and tailgate.

Best for: New businesses, leased utes, tight budgets - maximum identification per dollar.

Partial wrap

A day or two

Printed graphics across selected panels - canopy, tray sides, lower body - blended with the factory colour.

Best for: The sweet spot for most trades: strong coverage, strong recall, without wrapping every panel.

Full wrap

Two to three days

Every visible panel wrapped in printed film - the ute becomes the brand, bumper to bumper.

Best for: Businesses whose vehicle IS the marketing - maximum impact, full paint protection underneath.

Canopy / tray only

Hours, not days

Just the box: canopy sides, rear and tray drop-sides wrapped or panelled.

Best for: Fleets with swappable canopies, or adding brand to a ute that's otherwise staying stock.

Exact timing and coverage are confirmed in your quote - we'll tell you straight if a cheaper level does the job.

How it works

Four steps from logo to on the road.

Design, print, lamination and install all happen in the one Osborne Park workshop - no couriers, no middlemen, no surprises.

  1. 01

    Tell us the trade

What you do, where the ute goes, lease or owned. Photos of the ute help; a visit is better.

  2. 02

    Design on your template

Artwork built on your exact model's panel template - you see the ute, not a generic mock-up.

  3. 03

    Print & laminate

Printed in-house on cast film and laminated for site life - sun, gravel rash and pressure washers.

  4. 04

    Install & handover

Fitted in a controlled bay, edges sealed, then a walkaround and care rundown before the keys come back.

FAQ

Ute branding - your questions answered.

What's the difference between ute signwriting and a ute wrap? +

Signwriting places cut or printed graphics - logo, trade, number - on selected panels of the factory paint. A wrap covers panels (or the whole ute) in printed film, so colour and design go anywhere. Signwriting identifies your ute; a wrap turns it into the ad. Budget, lease terms and how hard you want it working decide which is right.

Can you wrap just the canopy or tray? +

Yes - canopy-only is one of the most cost-effective jobs we do. The canopy is flat, high and reads over traffic, so it carries a brand well on its own. It also suits fleets that swap canopies between vehicles: the brand moves with the box, not the ute.

How much does ute branding cost in Perth? +

It depends on coverage - decals cost a fraction of a full wrap, and the partial-wrap middle ground suits most trades. Rather than a number that's wrong in both directions, our car branding cost guide explains what moves the price, and your itemised quote locks it in writing. Read the car branding cost guide β†’

How long does branding a ute take? +

Decals and canopy jobs are usually measured in hours; partial wraps a day or two; full wraps two to three days including prep and quality checks. You get the real timeline in your quote - and because design, print and install all happen in our Osborne Park workshop, there's no waiting on third parties.

Will the wrap survive site work? +

Cast vinyl laminated for UV and abrasion handles the life a work ute actually lives - sun, dust, gravel rash and regular washing. It's the same materials logic we use on mine-spec vehicles. Damaged panels can be re-wrapped individually, which is a repair paint can't match panel-for-panel.

The ute's leased - does the branding come off? +

Yes. Quality film removed properly leaves healthy factory paint as it was - that's why leased and novated utes get wrapped rather than painted. Check your lease terms first; we're happy to explain the removal process to your fleet or finance company.

Do you design the graphics, or do I need finished artwork? +

Either works. Bring finished artwork and we'll build it onto your model's template - or bring a logo and a rough idea and our designers do the rest. Nothing goes to print until you've signed off the design on your actual ute's panels.
